COVID-19, Corona, the Corona Virus, whatever you wish to call it, seemed to take the US by storm last week. It was a rather surreal experience sitting at the salon; I was getting a lovely fresh pedicure for My Indy tour while the world around Me seemed to fall into disarray and panic as Trump declared a National Emergency. Since then, everything has changed from day to day, hour to hour. People are in a constant state of unease as they try to function with the world in flux.
First of all, I'd like to say, these feelings you have are natural. Many of us are grieving the loss of our normal lives: school, spring break, work, sporting events, formals, competitions, graduations, conventions, workouts, seeing friends & family, even the security of knowing the grocery store will have food stocked. Additionally, there's stress associated with all of these events, which is exacerbated by the unknown--how long will this go on? How will it resolve? Will I be okay? How will I pay my bills? Feed my family? Pay my rent? And of course, there's the stress of being quarantined: boredom, strain on relationships, and cabin fever. There are a lot of questions, and not a lot of answers.
The immediate answer most people think of when it comes to stress, is to remove the source. If ridding the world of COVID-19 were that easy, we wouldn't be in a pandemic. Fortunately, identical twins Dr Emily Nagoski and Dr Amelia Nagoski have found ways to relieve stress--finish the cycle! There's a very helpful book called Burnout: The Secret to Solving the Stress Cycle. However, if you don't have time to read the book, there's a very abridged version here. All of the suggestions posed work well for grief.
Secondly, some may be wondering how I am going to handle myself during this time. You've gotten emails from every business entity you've ever interacted with, but how is your local dominatrix going to proceed from here? Well, this coming week, I will be setting up what I need to at my home base in order to start taking NiteFlirt calls. I will be posting set hours during which I will be able to take calls; during off hours there will be the ability to text Me instead, also via NiteFlirt.
Unfortunately, I will have to postpone all tours for now. When it is safe to do so, I will resume My regular visits to Indianapolis and Detroit.
I am not encouraging anyone to break quarantine or lock-down to come session. However, I will continue to do real time sessions as able at My home dungeon, on a case by case basis. The following criteria will now have to be met:
If you have a fever or a cough, I will not see you. Let me know beforehand and we can reschedule, otherwise you will be turned away at the door after paying the full session fee.
If you reside with or work closely with someone who is sick, I will not see you.
Upon entering the dungeon, I will be taking your temperature (orally, you wonderful perverts). If your temperature is 100.4 degrees or higher, I will be sending you home.
After taking your temperature, you will wash your hands properly and for at least 20 seconds before proceeding to the play space.
IF YOU HAVE BEEN SICK I will see you AFTER you have met CDC recovery specifications.
An absence of fever, with no use of fever-reducing medication, for three full days
Improvement in other symptoms, such as coughing and shortness of breath.
A period of seven full days since symptoms first appeared has passed.
Two negative swab tests on consecutive days (if being tested).
As always, if I am sick or around others who are, I will be sure to let you know and reschedule our session as soon as I am fully recovered. My toys are always sterilized between use, and the equipment wiped down with Cavicide.
If you would like to support Me during this time, please send gifts via the methods listed on My Tribute page, which will be updated with additional payment methods. I understand many of us are struggling during this difficult time and may not have much to give. However, if you are at liberty to spend, consider paying for a session or partial session in advance.
Wash your hands!
